The Val Verde Unified School District ("District") Board of Education has changed from at-large elections to by-trustee area elections. The change will go into effect starting with the November 2016 elections for the Board of Education. Previously, the District's five member Board of Education is elected by voters across the entire District. Starting with the elections in November 2016, members of the Board of Education will only be elected by voters who reside in the areas that Board members are elected from.
