Measure L was placed on the June 5, 2012 ballot and the winning results, thanks to you, were as follows:
BONDS YES: 2758 votes (62%)
BONDS NO: 1697 votes (38%)
Your support of Measure L will provide $178 million dollars for Val Verde students and schools and specifically would:
Keep technology and computer systems up-to-date in classrooms, libraries and science labs
Improve energy efficiency to provide ongoing savings that will allow us to attract and retain qualified teachers
Protect academic instruction in core subjects like math, science, reading, writing, and technology as well as programs that help students struggling with the basics
Provide facilities and equipment needed for career and technical education classes so students can compete for high-demand jobs
Construct a new high school to relieve student overcrowding
