Measure L
Measure L was placed on the June 5, 2012 ballot and the winning results, thanks to you, were as follows:
BONDS YES: 2758 votes (62%)
BONDS NO: 1697 votes (38%)

Your support of Measure L will provide $178 million dollars for Val Verde students and schools and specifically would:
  • Keep technology and computer systems up-to-date in classrooms, libraries and science labs
  • Improve energy efficiency to provide ongoing savings that will allow us to attract and retain qualified teachers
  • Protect academic instruction in core subjects like math, science, reading, writing, and technology as well as programs that help students struggling with the basics
  • Provide facilities and equipment needed for career and technical education classes so students can compete for high-demand jobs
  • Construct a new high school to relieve student overcrowding
