This is a program designed to assist grandparents & other kin raising children in their care. Information, anger management, clothing, utilities, employment counseling, mentoring, tutoring, counseling, and other services are available free of charge. The purpose of this program is to help caregivers establish healthy, happy families.

This is through the Office on Aging. Supportive services such as a childcare program for little ones aged birth though 5, advocacy, and case management are provided to grandparents and other relative caregivers.

This is a help line provided by the Department of Social Services. This agency will provide resources for the Grandparents or other care-providing relative resources. The care provider's name and number will be taken by the agency to provide appropriate resources needed. This agency will also provide community resource information.

To provide parents and caregivers who are raising a child/youth with mental health/emotional/behavioral challenges a safe place to vent, share support, information, solutions and resources. In addition to support, these groups also offer training, workgroups and special topics.

Riverside County Department of Mental Health, Children Services has developed a non-emergency crisis Telephone Support Line for parents/caregivers of Riverside County who are raising a child/youth with mental health/emotional/behavioral challenges. If you have a question or just need to talk, please don’t hesitate to call. Isolation is a very lonely place to be. We also have information regarding parent-to-parent support groups and a new 12-week course (EES) Education Equip and Support: Building Hope that will be offered throughout Riverside County for parents/caregivers. There is no charge for these groups.

The EES Education Program consists of 10 -12 sessions, each session is 2 hours and is offered only to parents/caregivers raising a child/youth with mental health and/or emotional challenges. Classes are designed to provide parents/caregivers with general education about childhood mental health illnesses, parent to parent support and community resources.
