This agency provides outreach, hotline, counseling, and shelter for children who are on the streets. It is designed to rescue children from street prostitution.

National Runaway Switchboard1 (800) 786-2929 [1 (800) RUN-AWAY] Several services are available through this agency. There is a home free program in which a youth who has run away is provided with a free one-way bus ticket home if he or she qualifies. There is also a message service whereby messages are conveyed from youth who have run away to parents or vice versa. Finally, a 24-hour confidential hotline for children & teenagers is available. Kids are welcome to call to discuss anything, big or little, and referrals will be provided if appropriate. Safe house Shelter for Teenage Runaways9685 Hayes Riverside , CA 92503 (951) 351-4418 24-hour telephone access This is a shelter for runaway youth and youth in crisis (ages 12-17). If police are phoned after the shelter is contacted, they may provide transportation to the shelter. Various interventions (such as counseling & education - there is a school on the grounds) with child & family are provided. This agency also has a Transitional Program for 18 to 21 year old, single females or males without children. These young people may live in a shelter/ apartment for up to 18 months receiving assistance in reaching their educational and career goals. The contact number for this program is (951) 369-4921.
