* Chicano Tutorial ProgramUniversity of California , Riverside Chicano Student Program Office, Room 229 Costo Hall Riverside , CA 92521 (951) 827-1012 UCR students taking a course provide these services. The students will provide free tutoring for children of any ethnicity, grades K-12. The office is open but no tutoring is available during July, August, or September. Parent, teacher, or other school staff may refer a student. Tutor will come to classroom for sessions if requested so teachers if you need a little extra help for some of your students please contact these fine young people.

* Literacy Program(951) 242-6366 Individual tutoring is available for high schoolers and adults through the City of Moreno Valley. In addition, there is a monthly program designed to teach parents how to help their children achieve academic success. Services are provided at the Moreno Valley Public Library, 25480 Alessandro (at the corner of Kitching and Alessandro). Contact Laura Betts between 8am and 4pm Monday through Friday to volunteer to be a tutor or if you need a tutor. Tutoring services are provided free of charge.

If you are a young adult (or know one) from 18 to 24 years old and need your high school diploma or GED certificate, please contact this agency for more information.

Ask for one of the captains for additional information. There is also a library on the premises and, if still needed after instruction, tutoring may be provided.

Abdulmumin, Director This program is designed for students in grades 4-12. It is designed to boost the academic achievements of those struggling & to provide cultural enrichment & a community of African-American scholars for those already excelling. Focus of this program is on ethnic studies, math, science, language arts, and computer science. Tutoring is available Monday thru Thursday 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 - noon. There is also an intensive preparation for SATs/PSATs.
