Lasselle Elementary School

Site

The plumbing contractor is making progress with the installation of the underground storm drain and gas line through out the site. The installation of the on site sewer has been completed with the exception of the final run and connection to the city sewer system. The formwork setting for the cast-in-place retaining wall located at the northwest corner of the site has begun.

Building A (Administration)

The scratch and brown coats of the stucco operation have been completed. The application of the color coat is anticipated to begin within the first week of March. The installation of drywall is complete. Which was followed by the completion of taping and texturing. The surface preparation for all walls to receive the vinyl wall covering have been completed, as well as the painting at all textured walls. Following the completion of the painting at the hollow metal frames, The Glass and Glazer has installed the glazing at all interior and exterior windows. The low voltage contractor has begun pulling wire for the fire alarm system along with pulling data cable through out the building. The connections to the EMS system have begun.

Building B (Kindergarten Classrooms)

Following the completion of the drywall installation and taping, the drywall contractor completed the texturing at all soffit areas. Painters have returned to paint the exterior storage and utility rooms. The walls that are to receive vinyl wall covering were also primed. The application of the scratch and brown coats of stucco are complete and the application of the color coat will begin within the first week of March. The installation of glazing at all exterior windows is complete. The pulling wire for the fire alarm system along with pulling data cable through out the building is complete. The connections to the EMS system have begun.

Building C (Multi-Purpose Room)

The plumbing rough-in has been completed. The electrical contractor continues to work on the rough-in for all low voltage systems. The low Voltage contractor has completed pulling wire for the fire alarm system. The hanging of the drywall is completed, with the exception of the double shear wall on the west side of the multi-purpose area and has begun taping the joints. The lathing operation is complete and the application of the brown coat has begun, following the completion of the scratch coat.

Modular Buildings D, E, F, G, H, and J (Classrooms)

All modular classroom units, including the restroom units and RSP (Resource) units have been set and anchored into place. Modtech, Inc. is progressing with the application of the 3-ply roofing system on Buildings E, G, H and J. The application of paper, lath and expansion metal at Buildings D, F and G has begun. The scaffolding has been erected at these buildings in preparation for the stucco operation.
