Off Site The plumbing contractor has completed the sewer connection located on Krameria Street. The hot tap for the water connection has also been completed, along with setting the backflow preventers and meter boxes along the east side of the main parking lot. Verizon California has completed the termination for the new phone service. Site The General Contractor has nearly completed the backfill at the cast-in-place retaining wall at the northwest corner of the site. The Electrician has completed the installation of all light standards throughout the project. The Landscape Contractor has begun the installation of lateral lines at the planter areas around the modular buildings. The concrete drive approach at the south entrance of the main parking lot has been completed and work is underway setting formwork at the northern entrance to the main parking lot. The entry ramp at Building C has been completed and the curb and gutter along the south parking lot is in progress. The base laying at the kindergarten play area, main parking lot and fire lane is complete. The asphalt operation is underway and is expected to be complete at these areas by the first week of July. Building A (Administration) Following the completion of the interior door installation, the installation of VCT and carpet through out the building were completed. The installation of the fire alarm and security systems is complete, with testing scheduled for July 6, 2005. The generation of punchlist is currently in progress and final clean-up has begun in the building. The Val Verde Unified School District has begun moving in furniture in preparation for staff to arrive. Building B (Kindergarten Classrooms) The installation of all interior wood doors and hardware is complete. The flooring installation is complete and the generation of punchlist began, along with final clean-up in the building. Building C (Multi-Purpose Room) Installation of the stainless steel counters is complete and the installation of the refrigerator / freezer walk-in condenser units and evaporator units is in progress. Following the installation of the walk-in units, the quarry tile at the entrance to the walk-in units was completed. The installation of interior wood doors and the installation of carpet, VCT and sheet vinyl are complete. The generation of punchlist will begin following final clean-up in the building. Modular Buildings D, E, F, G, H, and J (Classrooms) Following the completion of lathing, the stucco operation was completed, the installation of the fire sprinkler system at all modular classroom units began. All of the transformer disconnects, switchgear and terminal cans for the electrical connections at the modular corridors have been installed. The electrical contractor will be pulling wire and beginning switchgear make-up the last week of June. | ![]() The entry ramp to the Multi-purpose Building and the handicap access ramps have been completed at the south parking lot |
