Columbia Elementary School

OFFSITE: The Electrician has completed the installation of all vaults and conduit for the new underground utilities. PAR Electrical Contractors, for Southern California Edison, is in the final stages of completing the electrical service to the school along with the relocation of the overhead service for connection to the new underground electrical service along Rider Street. The main electrical transformer has been set and all connections to the main electrical room in Building ‘A’ have been completed. Adelphia Communications is in the process of splicing the fiber lines for the cable service and expects to be completed by the first week of August. A.M. Ortega is nearly complete with relocating the Rider Street gas line for the Southern California Gas Co. The grading operation along Haines Street is in progress and is preparing for the installation of curb and gutter.

SITE: The installation of the irrigation lines at the ball field areas and preparing the soil for the sod installation is nearing completion. The installation of trees, plants and sod are complete in the planter areas surrounding the buildings. The installation of main play structure has been completed. The resilient play surfacing around both structures are complete. The perimeter fencing at the ball field area is well underway. The grading for the delivery turn around south of the Multi-Purpose Building is nearing completion .

BUILDING A: Punchlist corrections are in progress. The District continues to move furniture and supplies into the Administration and Library areas.

BUILDING B: Punchlist corrections are in progress. The District has begun moving furniture into the classrooms of the Kindergarten Building.

BUILDING C: Punchlist corrections are in progress. The installation of the cook top and oven has been completed, along with the installation of the ANSUL fire suppression system. The County of Riverside has completed the initial health inspection for the kitchen area of the Multi–Purpose Building. The District has delivered the lunch tables for use in the Multi-Purpose Room.

MODULARS: Punchlist corrections are in progress. The District has begun moving furniture into each of the classrooms.

is rolled to help secure placement and drainage.

The asphalt is placed outside of the Multi-
Purpose Building. This will be the outside lunch
area, basketball courts and handball courts.
