Three major tasks were completed at Building F this month: ceiling tiles were installed, casework was installed, and carpeting was installed. This project is nearly complete, as it will be occupied for the beginning of the school year on August 23rd. Only the following small tasks remain to be completed: Installation of rubber base, installation of one new window at Classroom F2, installation of raised access computer flooring in F1 (scope to be performed by District contractor), installation of new door at F5 and new thresholds and closers at all rooms (scope to be performed by District contractor), subsequent touch-up painting, and the installation of numerous electrical coverplates. Underground electrical scope of work is substantially completed. The erection of parapets atop the existing roofs is 75% complete; this operation should be completed by August 6th. Interior demolition was completed at each portable. Numerous unforeseen conditions became apparent at Classroom I2. As a result, substantial rehabilitation, such as sill plate replacement, plywood flooring replacement, drywall replacement, and roof rafter replacement has been ongoing this week. Onsite, concrete aprons will be poured against the buildings on August 2nd. The lathers will mobilize August 3rd. Casework installation shall also commence during the first week of August. Also look for light poles, vinyl wallcoverings, significant electrical scope, and another Shade Structure to install during August. The projected completion date for this project remains October 1st. |
