Columbia Elementary School

SITE: The placement of concrete flatwork has continued, including the flatwork around the modular buildings and at the entrance to Building ‘C’. The service corridors within the four (4) Modular Classroom clusters have been completed and the transformers have been set. The pulling of the feeder wire has commenced throughout the site from the electrical room in Building ‘A’. The masonry retaining wall along the northern edge of the ball fields is complete, along with the trash enclosure. The installation of the four (4) 18” storm drain lines that run from Rider Street to Haines Street at the southwest corner of the ball fields are complete.

BUILDING A: Finish trades continue with work at the Administration Building. The installation of the T-bar ceiling grid is complete. The vinyl wall covering installation has been completed. The casework installation is nearly completed in the Library and Administration areas of Building 'A'. The installation and electrical connections to the lighting fixtures have been completed. The installation of VCT is complete and the carpet installation has begun.

BUILDING B: Following the completion of the vinyl wall covering, the installation of casework at the Kindergarten classrooms began. The installation of the ceiling grid is complete. The water closets have been installed at the classroom restrooms and installation of the classroom sinks will soon begin. The installation of the vinyl wrapped tack panels has begun along with completing the installation of the markerboards in the classrooms.

BUILDING C: The installation of the exterior hollow metal doors has been completed, following the completion of the stucco operation. The installation of glazing has been completed. The installation of drywall and the texturing of the ceilings and walls has been completed. The painting operation and the installation of vinyl wall covering is complete. The installation of the fiberglass reinforced panels (FRP) has been completed. The running of the flex conduit and wiring for the lighting fixtures has begun. The installation of restroom fixtures has begun. The quarry tile has been completed in the kitchen area allowing the refrigerator/freezer unit to be installed. The installation of the kitchen exhaust hood unit has also been completed. The installation of the projection screen at the Multi-Purpose area stage is complete.
