Site Setting of the rebar for the walkway and steps to be poured at the cast-in-place walls for the handicap ramp access and stairs to the ball fields have begun. The area around Buildings A and B are being cleared and finish grade is being established in preparation for flatwork placement. Work on all underground wet utilities between the modular buildings continues. The electrician has completed running all underground conduits at the modular corridors in preparation for the backfill. The underground conduit runs for Edison, Verizon and Adelphia across the parking lot area are complete. The slab box for the Edison transformer and the pull boxes for the Edison and Verizon runs have also been set. The grading at the parking lot has been completed and preparation for the curb and gutter operation is scheduled to begin the first week of April. Building A (Administration) The stucco operation along with scaffold removal and clean up have been completed. The swinging of all exterior hollow metal doors have been completed in preparation of the installation of vinyl wall covering at all administration offices and the library area after the completion of the glazing. Following the completion of the vinyl wall covering application, the electrician returned to complete the installation of all outlet receptacles, switches and cover plates. Installation of the acoustical ceiling grid has begun. Floating of the thickset mortar base at the walls and floors of the exterior restrooms is complete, the ceramic wall tile installation at all restrooms has begun. Installation of the metal gutter and standing seam metal roof at the cupola roof over the entrance to the Administration offices, installation of the cap flashing and finish trim at the low roofs have all been completed. Building B (Kindergarten Classrooms) With the stucco operation completed and the completion of the hollow metal door installation, the installation of glazing was completed, to allow the interior finishes to begin. The painting operation has been completed, along with the application of the vinyl wall covering. The installation of wall receptacles, switches and cover plates are complete. Following the completion of the ceiling grid installation, the Electrician began dropping fluorescent light fixtures. Installation of the wall and floor tile, including grouting at all restrooms has been completed. The installation of all cap flashing at the parapets, along with the trim at the low roofs is now complete. Building C (Multi-Purpose Room) The stucco operation, including scaffold removal and clean up has been completed. Infinity Structures, a subcontractor to ASR Constructors, Inc. returned to complete the installation of the double shear at the west wall of the building. The framing for the two drinking fountain alcoves was also completed, therefore the drywall operation is able to be completed. The painting has been completed following the completion of the drywall operation. Application of the vinyl wall covering at the stage and multi-purpose areas of the building following the completion of the hollow metal door installation. Installation of all glazing is complete. The installation of the hood system has been completed following the completion of drywall at the kitchen area. Modular Buildings D, E, F, G, H, and J (Classrooms) Application of the 3-ply roofing system on all Modular Buildings is complete. The casework installation at all buildings is in progress. Application of paper, lath and expansion metal at the Modular Buildings is progressing. The scaffolding has been erected at these buildings in preparation for the stucco operation. The forming and pouring a portion of the concrete vent wells at the foundations to the Modular Buildings has been completed. |
