Columbia Elementary School

SITE: Placement of concrete flatwork around Buildings “A” and “B” has begun. The service corridors within the four (4) Modular Classroom clusters have been backfilled and are ready for concrete placement. The chain link fencing is being installed at the area surrounding the Kindergarten Building following the completion of the asphalt. The masonry retaining wall along the northern edge of the ball fields is nearing completion. The Landscaper is currently working on the installation of all irrigation main lines and laterals. Irrigation lines have been brought to the planter areas surrounding the buildings and the sprinkler heads will be installed following the completion of flatwork in these areas.

BUILDING A: Following the completion of the stucco operation, the scaffolding was removed and finish trades began work. The painter has completed all hollow metal door frames, window frames, and exterior doors along with the interior walls following the completion of wall texture. The glazing installation has been completed. Along with completing the setting and grouting of all tile. The T-bar ceiling grid is currently being installed. The installation of vinyl wall covering is well underway in preparation for casework installation to begin. The installation of casework in the library area of the Administration Building has begun. The installation and electrical connections to the lighting fixtures has begun. The door contractor has completed hanging all exterior doors and has begun hardware installation. The installation of plumbing fixtures at the exterior boy’s and girl’s restrooms has started.

BUILDING B: The stucco operation and removed the scaffolding that was surrounding the building has been completed. The painting at the textured walls, all hollow metal door frames, window frames and exterior doors has been completed. Hanging all exterior doors has been completed and hardware installation has begun. The installation of all glazing has been completed. Setting and grouting the tile at all restrooms has been completed. The installation of the T-bar ceiling grid has begun, along with setting the light fixtures and beginning the electrical wiring.

BUILDING C: Following the completion of the Geoflex roofing application the drywall and insulation installation began. The color coat of stucco at the exterior of the building has been completed and scaffolding will be removed. The duct connections to the HVAC units has been completed. The plumbing and electrical rough-in has been completed.

MODULARS: The stucco operation and removed the scaffolding at the Modular Buildings has been completed. The installation of casework in each of the twenty-four (24) classrooms has been completed.
