Lasselle Elementary School

Site

The plumbing contractor is underway with the installation of underground storm drain and gas line through out the site. The installation of the on site sewer has been completed with the exception of the final run and connection to the city sewer system. T he removal of formwork and patching at the cast-in-place concrete walls for the accessible ramp and stair from the hard court play area to the softball fields are complete . Work is underway for the cast-in-place retaining wall located at the northwest corner of the site. The plumbing contractor is continuing work on the site fire line and sewer line. The Electrician has resumed work on the underground conduit which runs between the main electrical room in Building A and the electrical rooms at each building. A section of the secondary Edison run has been completed.

Building A (Administration)

T he installation of the fire sprinkler lines have been completed . The Roofing contractor has completed the Geoflex roofing application and will begin the installation of the metal parapet caps following the stucco operation. The lathing operation is complete and the masking for the stucco operation to commence. All prime coats and the finish coat of paint at the hollow metal frames are complete . T he installation of drywall has begun, the installation of the insulation s complete .

Building B (Kindergarten Classrooms)

The application of the Geoflex roofing membrane is complete and the metal parapet caps will be installed following the completion of the stucco application. The lathing operation is complete and the masking for the stucco operation to commence. Simmons & Wood, Inc. has completed the painting of all hollow metal frames. T he installation of the insulation is complete. T he drywall installation, including taping is also complete .

Building C (Multi-Purpose Room)

The pluming rough-in and electrical rough-in are nearing completion . T he installation of hollow metal frames are complete and the application of the prime coats to the hollow metal frames have begun . T he lathing operation is near completion . T he Dens Deck underlayment and Geoflex membrane roofing are complete .

Modular Buildings D, E, F, G, H, and J (Classrooms)

The first set of modular units, which included Building D, Building F and the western half of Building G, were set on January 6, 2005. Following the removal of formwork, Modtech, Inc. anticipates that the remaining units will be set by the middle of February, which include Building E, the eastern portion of Building G, Building H, Building J, the restroom units and RSP units. Following the placement and securing of the first group of units, completed the application of the 3-ply roofing system.
